Samdol, a woodcutter infamous for his peculiar misfortune — his garments always seem to end up in tatters — is accumulating funds to purchase an expensive silk outfit that is rumored to never tear. One day, while he is laboring in the woods, he saves a deer from being hunted. In gratitude, the deer guides him to a mysterious hidden pond — the secret location where celestial fairies come to bathe. After an unforeseen incident, the fairies quickly return to the heavens, leaving behind only one of them, Danhwa, who has misplaced her celestial robe and cannot return. With no other options, Danhwa finds herself staying at the woodcutter’s home. However, things take a turn for the worse as she enters the “mating season that occurs for celestial fairies once a year” and begins to pursue Samdol. Thus, a cohabitation begins, filled with misunderstandings, magic, and scenarios that are as comical as they are perilous.
