Tae-eun's existence, marked by her strength in the face of hardship, takes a drastic and unexpected turn when her father, who seemed capable of living outside the law, takes his own life. A horde of debtors and gangsters invades the funeral home. Just as she confronts the looming danger of being taken away, Tae-eun instinctively pleads for assistance from a man who appears: Moon Joo-heon. However, the hand he offers is far from a rescue.
